Abstract
Cerebralno oštećenje vida (eng. Cerebral Visual Impairment, CVI) je neurološki poremećaj koji nastaje zbog oštećenja moždanih struktura zaduženih za obradu vidnih informacija, a ne zbog očnih bolesti, te može uzrokovati složene perceptivne probleme i funkcionalne poteškoće kod djece i odraslih. Zbog rastuće prevalencije stečenog CVI, posebno kod odraslih s moždanim udarom, traumatskim ozljedama mozga ili neurodegenerativnim bolestima, važno je razviti specifične dijagnostičke strategije kako bi se poboljšala njihova procjena. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati sveobuhvatnu sliku oštećenja vida povezanog s ozljedom mozga (eng. Brain injury associated visual impairment, BIVI) kod odraslih osoba kroz detaljnu analizu postojeće literature. Sustavni pregled literature temeljen je na pretraživanju relevantnih baza podataka, usmjereno na radove objavljene u posljednjih 15 godina, kako bi se osigurala aktualnost podataka i metodologija. Analizom i usporedbom probirnih lista za CVI/BIVI, ovaj rad nastoji identificirati praznine u postojećim dijagnostičkim alatima i predložiti prilagodbe specifične za odrasle. Korištenjem standardiziranih instrumenata kao što su CVI Upitnik, CVI Range Assessment, BIVI-IQ i OxVPS rad se fokusira na identifikaciju prikladnosti različitih mjernih instrumenata za odraslu populaciju i predlaganje jedinstvenog sveobuhvatnog mjernog instrumenta za probir na CVI/BIVI.
Abstract (english)
Cerebral visual impairment (CVI) is a neurological disorder that occurs due to damage to brain structures responsible for processing visual information, and not due to eye diseases, and can cause complex perceptual problems and functional difficulties in children and adults. Due to the increasing prevalence of acquired CVI, especially in adults with stroke, traumatic brain injury or neurodegenerative diseases, it is important to develop specific diagnostic strategies to improve their assessment. The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive picture of brain injury associated visual impairment (BIVI) in adults through a detailed analysis of existing literature. The systematic review of the literature is based on a search of relevant databases, focused on works published in the last 15 years, in order to ensure that the data and methodology are up-to-date. By analyzing and comparing CVI/BIVI screening lists, this paper seeks to identify gaps in existing diagnostic tools and suggest adaptations specific to adults. Using standardized instruments such as the CVI Questionnaire, CVI Range Assessment, BIVI-IQ and OxVPS, the work focuses on identifying the appropriateness of different measuring instruments for the adult population and proposing a single comprehensive measuring instrument for CVI screening.
