imati posljedice u kasnijoj dobi.
Abstract (english) Inadequate tests may lead to misalignment of the clinical image which may have long-term
consequences for the child and the child's guardians, therefore it is necessary to take care of
checking norms for certain standardized measuring instruments. Given that this is a test
constructed 30 years ago and with the clinical indications that some particles are too easy for
preschool children, the purpose of this work is to verify the achievement of preschool children
with no impairment on the visuoconstructional, visuoperceptual, graphomotor, languagespeech
and motor domain of the Developmental test Čuturić and determine the match with the
given test norms. The survey involved 12 two-year-olds and 39 three-year-olds from two
Zagreb kindergartens. Participants were given the Developmental test Čuturić for preschool
age. The results show that three-year-olds achieve poorer results in the visual-constructive
domain than the given test norms, while the two-year-olds achieve results in accordance with
the given test norms. The two-year-olds and three-year-olds had better results in relation to
the given test norms in the visuoperceptual and language comprehension, which was
expected. In the domain of language production and motor skills, the two-year-olds have
achieved better results than the given test norms, and the three-year-olds have achieved results
in accordance with the given test norms. On the graphomotor domain, two-year-olds and
three-year-olds have achieved results in accordance with the given test norms. Surveys were
checked for achievements and other variables, however did not show much results since the
tasks for those variables relate to the chronological age of five years upwards. Overall, the
two-year-olds had mental age one year higher than chronological, according to the given test
standards and three-year-olds have mental age adequate for chronological. Despite the fact
that the results were heterogeneous, the question of assisting child's intellectual level using
Developmental Test Čuturić is risen. Other age groups not covered by this test should also be
tested to determine the necessity and the way of conducting revision of this test. If the test
really proves to be too easy for other age groups, a large number of children with disabilities
can be declared as “typical“ and have consequences later in life.
