Nastava tjelesne i zdrastvene kulture u osnovnim školama predstavlja osnovu za razvoj motoričkih sposobnosti, perceptivnih i kognitivnih funkcija, razvoj komunikacije i socijalno – emocionalni razvoj. U tu svrhu kreirane su i provedene seanse Rehabilitacije putem pokreta u okviru nastave Tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture, u nižim razredima redovne zagrebačke Osnovne škole Kralja Tomislava.
Abstract (english) The need for movement is one of basic biological needs in humans. Most early interactions involve movement which help children to grow physically strong and healthy. Movement as well as everyday physical activities are a prerequisite for the quality of the growth and development of children. A significant role in educating children about the importance of movement and physical activity is the school subject Physical Education. Physical education in elementary schools is the basis for the development of motor skills, perceptive and cognitive functions, the development of communication and social - emotional development. The significance of Physical and Health Education in primary schools is particularly important in today’s modern times when it is recognized lack of physical activity as a major public health problem. So, it is necessary to enable a well-planned, individualized, enriched and controlled curriculum of Physical and Health Education. Such a program should meet the individual needs of each child and ensure the possibility of participation in teaching, especially for children with disabilities who are integrated into the regular school system. A more innovative and flexible way of access to Physical Education could be the inclusion of the Rehabilitation through the movement program as part of the curriculum. The Rehabilitation through movement as a specific form of rehabilitation, is in a function of motor development and provides an integrative approach to the complete development of the child. The aim of this paper is to examine the possibility of implementation of Rehabilitation through movement program in Physical and Health Education. For this purpose, was created a proposal for several lessons with elements of the Rehabilitation through movement program. The program was applied in the four lower primary school grades in the city of Zagreb. There was held 12 sessions in the classes which children with disabilities are integrated. After the realized sessions, the evaluation has shown usefulness and satisfaction of applied Rehabilitation through movement program in Physical and Health Education. Rehabilitation through the movement could be one of the important elements of the curriculum for Physical and Health Education and thus contribute to the development of motor, education, and health competencies.
