The aim of this research is to gain insight into the needs of children with motor disabilities to contribute to the introduction of appropriate assistive technologies and to gain insight into the ability of children which can positively influence the implementation of the appropriate assistive technology. Based on the identified needs and abilities of children with motor disabilities, the assistive technologies that best suit the child's needs will be proposed. For the purpose of this research, an assessment tool was conceived based on existing AT assessment models. A total of 12 lists of assessment were designed to collect information about child based on the WATI model of assessment. They cover the following areas: seating, positioning and mobility; communication; computer and device access; motor aspects of writing; composition of written material; reading; mathematics; organization; recreation and leisure; vision; hearing and general. At the end of each of these areas, the child's abilities and needs / difficulties which the child would encounter would be mentioned, which could affect the implementation and use of assistive technology. Given the objective and the research questions put into use, this research used the observation method for data collection. The study involved 4 children aged 6 to 9 years. Criteria for choosing participants were the following: it had to be a child with motor disability as a consequence of central nervous system damage, who goes to school or preschool, regardless of sex and showing difficulties in speech and language with general delays in other areas of development. Based on this data, recommendations will be made on the appropriate assistive technology that will best suit the needs and abilities of the child.
