This review will focus on mothers’ and fathers’ experiences of their child's malignant disease, which are the most common sources of stress, which coping strategies they use and which are the most prominent differences between mothers and fathers of children with malignant diseases in these areas. Malignant diseases are malignant tumors that can occur in any part of the body, presenting the presence of malignant cells that grow uncontrollably, spread rapidly and destroy healthy tissue. Malignant disease a chronic disease with an uncertain outcome that has always expressed stressful experiences for both the child and the family. When they find out a diagnosis, parents have to accept the many implications and consequences of having a child with a life-threatening illness. The needs of the parents of all hospitalized children are in fact the physical needs for accommodation, food and sleep, while others, such as the need for support, are in ndividual. Parents of children with malignant diseases often have greater needs for emotional support, understanding and information. The sources of stress in mothers were related to the condition of the sick child, the extent of their neesd, his behavior and separation from family and friends due to the care of the child. The sources of stress in fathers are related to the financial status and their child's future. The main difference in coping between fathers and mothers is that mothers were more likely to use emotion-focused coping and fathers were more focused on problem-solving.
