Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja je opisati obiteljske odnose u obitelji u kojoj oba roditelja imaju oštećenje vida na tri razine: partnerski odnosi, odnosi roditelj-dijete te odnosi braće i sestara.Uz kvalitetu obiteljskih odnosa, u radu će fokus biti stavljen i na mehanizme suočavanja sa stresom koji doprinose uspostavljanju obiteljske ravnoteže i razvoju povoljne obiteljske klime i obiteljske kohezivnosti. Također, ispitat će se i što bi članovima obitelji trebalo kao podrška, kako formalna od strane sustava, tako i neformalna od strane uže i šire obitelji, prijatelja, susjedstva i slično, a pomoglo bi im u njegovanju obiteljskih odnosa. U istraživanju je korišten kvalitativan pristup obrade podataka. U istraživanju su sudjelovala četiri člana peteročlane obitelji iz Zagreba, roditelji i dvije kćeri. Oba roditelja imaju visok stupanj oštećenja vida, majka je potpuno slijepa, a otac visoko slabovidan, na razini raspoznavanja obrisa i velikih kontrasta. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja ukazuju na skladnost odnosa u obitelji, uspješno korištenje mehanizama suočavanja sa stresom, nedovoljnu količinu formalne podrške te upućuju na zadovoljstvo neformalnom podrškom obitelji u kojoj oba roditelja imaju oštećenje vida.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this research paper is to describe the family relationships of a family in which both parents have visual impairments. The family relationships will be examined at three levels: the relationship between partners, parent-child relationships, and sibling relationships. In addition to the quality of family relationships, the paper will focus on stress coping mechanisms that contribute to establishing balance within a family, family cohesiveness and the development of a favorable climate within the family. It will also examine what types of support family members need, both formal via various organizations, and informal through the immediate family, widerfamily, friends, neighborhood, and others, to help them nurture family relationships. The study used a qualitative data processing approach. The participants in this study are four out of five members of a family from Zagreb, the parents and two daughters. Both parents have a high degree of visual impairment; the mother is completely blind, and the father is highly visually impaired to the level of outline recognition and high contrasts only. The findings indicate that the quality of family relationships are consistent with the successful use of coping mechanisms. The study shows that there is insufficient formal support but it points to satisfaction with informal support of the family in which both parents have visual impairment.
