Although a formal process is being established in Croatia allowing competent management of equine assisted therapy, it is clear that in some parts of the world, therapists are deliberately connecting the horse as a catalyst that has a direct impact on the development and normalization of sensory integration, with complete contribution in other developmental areas. Due to problems in the neurological field in children with multiple disabilities, disorders in the perception of body position and sensory sensitivity occur frequently. This is due to poor data processing of the vestibular and tactile systems. Such sensory imbalances often result in the avoidance of various movement activities that are associated with balance and other movements. The main objective of this paper is to give an insight into the importance of using the impact assessment list of an individualized program to stimulate sensory integration as a basic guideline for the quality preparation and planning of activities towards the achievement of goals set. The paper also focuses on the contribution of equine therapy to a child with multiple disabilities with difficulty integrating tactile, proprioceptive and vestibular stimuli in order to encourage successful integration of these types of stimuli. In doing so, proper posture of the body is encouraged, while through activities such as caring, improving self-awareness and various activities involving cards, toys and other requisites, it encourages the development of social skills through participation, the development of responsibility and cooperation in different situations. Qualitative data processing has yielded research findings that demonstrate a contribution to improving sensory processing and integrating sensations into concrete and usable information that automatically reflects on other areas of the child's life. The contribution of this research is a program that enables monitoring of the condition of a child with multiple disabilities through experiential work and learning through the elaborated goals of the program, to show all the benefits that equine intervention can contribute to the development of children and people with various disabilities.
