Abstract (english) Stuttering is a complex disorder that doesn't affect only the disturbed fluency of speech and its visible manifestations, but also reflects on the psychological, emotional and social area of a person's life. From the onset of stuttering, a person will encounter a number of situations where stuttering will play a rather large role. If it starts at an early age, the process of education and social functioning in terms of establishing relationships with peers for a person who stutters will be a great challenge, so this research tried to gain insight into these experiences from the perspective of people who stutter. The aim of this thesis is to find out the impact of stuttering on the quality of peer relationships during primary and secondary education, as well as whether there is a difference between males and females in the quality of that relationships. Also, the difference in the quality of peer relationships depending on the presence of speech therapist in school will be examined. For the purpose of this paper, an online survey "The impact of stuttering on the quality of peer relationships" was created, which consists of 2 parts, the first part relating to primary education, and the second part to secondary education. The study involved 47 adults who stutter between the age of 18 and 43 years. The results were processed by non - parametric test since it was shown that the distribution is not normal and by descriptive analysis. Results showed that stuttering has a negative impact on the quality of peer relationships during primary and secondary school. No statistically significant difference was found between male and female in the quality of peer relationships. The difference between the group of respondents who stated that they had a speech therapist in school and the other who stated they had not, was also not statistically significant for neither primary nor secondary school. The topic of peer relationships in stutterers has not been extensively researched, so further research would significantly contribute to a better understanding of the impact of stuttering on creating quality social relationships and prevent negative experiences of stutterers with other peers due to their uneducatedness and ignorance of the complexity of that disorder to the individual.
