Abstract
Širokopojasna komunikacija putem elektroenergetske mreže (engl. PLC - Power Line Communications) predstavlja tehnologiju koja omogućava umrežavanja u lokalnom okruženju, ali i rješenje problema širokopojasnog pristupa u sredinama gdje ne postoji adekvatna širokopojasna infrastruktura. Pristup širokopojasnim uslugama putem elektroenergetske mreže spajanjem na kućnu utičnicu električne instalacije uvijek je predstavljao izazov. Glavni problem korištenja elektroenergetske mreže za prijenos podataka je interferencija, to je ujedno i glavni razlog ne upotrebe ove vrste komunikacije. Lokalno umrežavanje, unutar kućanstva koristeći PLC komunikaciju dovodi u pitanje razinu kvalitete usluge. Ovaj rad se bavi testiranjem i analizom QoS parametara. Kvaliteta usluge je mjerena pomoću QoS senzora sadržanog unutar PRTG Network monitor besplatnog programskog alata. U testnom okruženju mjereni su parametri: kašnjenje paketa, gubitak paketa, kolebanje kašnjenja (engl. jitter ), itd.. Analizom izmjerenih rezultata je zaključeno da PLC komunikacija pruža visoku razinu kvalitete usluge, usporednu s WiFi mrežom
Abstract (english)
Broadband communication over power line network (PLC – power line communication) is a tehnology that provides networking in a local enviroment, but also solve the problem of broadband access in areas where there is no adequate broadband infrastructure. Access to broadband services via the electricity network by connecting to a household outlet wiring has always been a challenge. The main problem of using electric power network for data transmission is interference, it is also the main reason for not using this type of communication. Local networking within the household using PLC communication brings in the question of quality of service level. This paper deals with its testing and analysis of QoS parameters. Quality of service is measured by the QoS sensor contained within PRTG Network Monitor, free software tool. Measured parameters in the test enviroment are: packet delay, packet loss, jitter, etc .. The analysis of the measured results concluded that the PLC communication provides a high level quality of service, even comparative with local WiFi network.
