Abstract
Ovaj završni rad opisuje jedan od važnijih usmjerivačkih protokola, Routing Information Protocol. RIP protokol je protokol vektora udaljenosti koji radi tako da određuje najkraći put za paket do njegovog odredišta te broji korake koji moraju do 15. Opisan je razvoj protokola kroz povijest, te način rada i algoritam pomoću kojega radi. Praktični dio ovog završnog rada je rađen u Riverbed Modeler Simulatoru. U njemu su izvršene četiri simulacije upotrebe RIP protokola u stvarnim mrežama
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes one of the most important routing protocols, Routing Information Protocol. RIP protocol is distance vector protocol which work is based on determing the shortest path for packages to their destination. It also counts steps which must be 15 or less. Thesis describes development through the history and algorithm which helps it to work. Practical part of the work is done in the Riverbed Modeler Simulator. It is a program in which are done 4 simulations of using RIP protocol in real networks.
