Abstract
U ovom radu je u osnovnim crtama prikazana povijest otkrića elektriciteta i magnetizma. Korištenjem literature sastavljen je povijesni pregled razvoja shvaćanja ovih pojava te su prikazani uzajamni utjecaji razvoja eksperimentalne tehnologije i konceptualnih matematičkih objašnjenja. Novovjeka formulacija Maxwellovih jednadžbi koja povezuje električna i magnetska polja s njihovim uzrocima, električnim nabojima i električnim strujama, te opisuje promjene tih polja i propagaciju elektromagnetskog vala, prikazana je u kontekstu znanstvenog razvoja i implikacija na početak razvoja elektrotehnike.
Abstract (english)
Outline of the history of discovery of electric and magentic phenomena is presented. Literature is used to obtain historic overlook on the development of understanding of these phenomena. Mutual influence between developing experimental technology and theoretical explanations is exemplified. Maxwell's equations description of the generation of the electric and magnetic fields, their change and combining into electromagnetic waves is presented in the context of development of modern scientific thinking and adjacent technologies.
