Abstract	Sve veći broj internetskih korisnika generira iznimno velike količine zahtjeva koji se prosljeđuju prema pojedinim web poslužiteljima u istom trenutku. Zbog toga su poslužitelji pod velikim prometnim opterećenjima koja je nužno optimizirati za njihov optimalan rad. Cilj je da se svi zahtijevani podaci između bilo koja dva krajnja sustava prenesu u što kraćem vremenu bez gubitaka, no taj je cilj u realnim uvjetima često teško dostići. Još uvijek pri obradi mrežnog prometa dolazi do kašnjenja, varijacija kašnjenja i gubitaka paketa. Međutim, postoje mnogobrojne metode koje mogu navedene probleme svesti na minimum i na taj način optimizirati prometno opterećenje mrežnih poslužitelja. Te su metode primjena adekvatnih mehanizama za osiguravanje definiranih razina kvalitete usluga, povećanje propusnosti,visoka dostupnost,tolerancija na pogreške i dodavanje balansera opterećenja. Ovim se metodama maksimalno optimizira prometno opterećenje mrežnih poslužitelja i omogućuje korisnicima nesmetana i ugodna uporaba istih, kao što je dokazano i u ovom radu.
Abstract (english)	An increasing number of Internet users generates extremly large amounts of requests which are forwarded to individual web servers at the same moment. Because of that, servers are under traffic load so it is neccessary to optimize this load for its optimal work. The purpose of optimizating of traffic load is that all of requested data between any remote systems is sent in as shortest time as possible and without any packet losses, but this purpose is unreachable unred realistic conditions. Delay, jitter and packet loss are still present in a network traffic. However, there are many methods which can reduce these problems and that way optimize traffic load of web servers. These methods are using the properly mechanisms to ensure defined levels of service quality, high availability, deffect tolerance and adding the load balancer. These methods optimize a traffic load and enable the users comfortable and non disturbed use of network services.
