Abstract
U radu je dana osnovna teorija načina rada tj. objašnjeni su elektrokemijski procesi punjenja i pražnjenja, te sastavne komponente svake baterije. Prikazana je razlika između primarnih i sekundarnih baterije i njihove najčešće vrste. Definiran je i opisan sustav za upravljanje baterijama, njegove topologije, izvedbe i funkcije. Također prikazan je primjer pasivnog sustava upravljanja baterijama za brzo balansiranje litij-željezo fosfat ćelija.
Abstract (english)
The paper describes fundamental theory pertaining to rechargeable batteries and gives an overview of how they work, i.e., the electrochemical processes of charging and discharging are explained and constituent components of every battery are listed. The difference between primary and secondary is shown and theirs most common used types are presented. The battery management system, its topologies, performance and functions are defined and described. An example of a passive battery management system for fast balancing for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries is also shown.
