Abstract
Rad nastoji istražiti prirodu funkcioniranja telefaksa u kontekstu razvoja mreže iz analogne u digitalnu, tijekom čega se mijenjaju uvjeti rada i potrebe korisnika, a tehnologija se razvija s ciljem unaprjeđenja mogućnosti i jednostavnog korištenja. U tom procesu potrebno je kreirati sustave koji će učinkovito odgovoriti na ove zahtjeve. Stoga se najprije upoznajemo s vrstom mreža preko kojih funkcionira razmjena telefaksa kako bi sagledali kontekst u kome se razvija ova vrsta komunikacije i koje prepreke trebaju biti savladane kako bi se ostvarila funkcija uređaja. Nakon toga istražuju se protokoli razvijani u cilju što efikasnije upotrebe telefaksa putem digitalnih mreža, kao i mogućnosti razmjene različitih medija. Kroz upoznavanje s njihovom strukturom uviđamo rješenja primijenjena kako bi se unutar ograničenih resursa maksimizirali infrastrukturni kapaciteti i minimiziralo vrijeme rada. Uvidom u razvojni put telefaksa, počevši od mrežnih rješenja do razvoja protokola putem kojih se ta mreža stavlja u službu ove vrste komunikacije, prepoznajemo probleme i izazove, kvalitete pojedinih rješenja te pravac u kojem se ova tehnologija razvija danas i otvara put ka razvoju novih oblika komunikacije.
Abstract (english)
The paper seeks to explore the nature of fax operation in the context of network development from analog to digital, during which working conditions and user needs change, and technology is developed with the aim of not accepting the possibilities and ease of use. In this process, it is necessary to create systems that will effectively respond to these requirements. Therefore, we first get acquainted with the type of network through which the fax exchange works in order to see the context in which this type of communication is developing and what obstacles need to be prevailing in order to achieve the function of the device. After that, the protocols that are being developed in order to use faxes more efficiently via digital networks, as well as the possibilities of exchanging different media, are investigated. Through getting acquainted with their structures, we see the solutions applied in order to maximize infrastructure capacities and minimize working hours within limited resources. Insight into the development path of fax, starting from network solutions to the development of protocols through which this network is put in the service of this type of communication, we recognize problems and challenges, quality solutions and the direction in which this technology is developing today and opens the way to new forms of communication. .
