Abstract
Ovaj rad daje uvid i opis sigurnosnih kopija podataka. Objašnjena je važnost sigurnosnih kopija podataka te je pruženo rješenje za izradu sigurnosnih kopija baza podataka SQL poslužitelja i datotečnog sustava. Detaljno su opisane vrste sigurnosnih kopija s osvrtom na pozitivne i negativne osobine. Opisani su mediji pogodni za pohranjivanje sigurnosnih kopija s naglaskom na medij korišten u praktičnom dijelu. Također, pružen je osvrt na moguće probleme pri izradi sigurnosnih kopija. Analizirani i objašnjeni su svi bitni parametri za izradu sigurnosnih kopija. Dano je programsko rješenje za izradu sigurnosnih kopija i uputstva za njegovu implementaciju. Testiranjem povrata podataka dokazana je ispravnost sigurnosnih kopija izrađenih pomoću danog rješenja. Pružen je osvrt na trenutno najbolje prakse pri izradi sigurnosnih kopija i osvrt na mogući budući razvoj rješenja.
Abstract (english)
This thesis provides an insight and description of backups. While explaining the importance of backups, this thesis also provides a solution for backups of SQL server databases and file systems. Different backup types are described in detail with regards on its positiveand negative aspects. Storage media suitable for backups are described, especially media used in the practical solution. Possible problem swith backups are also considered. All relevant parametres for creating backups are analyzed and explained. Software solution for backing up data was created and the implementation of that solution is described. Testing the backups by restoring data to the production enviroment proved that the program used for making backups is functioning properly. The thesis gives an overview of the current best practices for making backups and possible future development.
