Abstract
Prekidači su elementi elektroenergetskog postrojenja koji služe za otvaranje i zatvaranje normalnih pogonskih struja, a mogu i služiti kao zaštita od struje kratkog spoja jer je njihova karakteristika kratkotrajno vođenje, uklapanje i isklapanje struje kratkog spoja. Izuzetno je važan pravilan rad prekidača u svim pogonskim uvjetima, a naročito prilikom kratkog spoja. Prilikom isklapanja i uklapanja pojavljuje se električni luk između kontakta prekidača pa zbog toga svaki prekidač ima medij kojim se taj luk gasi. Prema vrsti medija razlikujemo prekidače. Najčešći mediji za gašenje luka su: ulje (prekidač s velikim sadržajem ulja i malouljni), zrak, SF6 plin, vakuum...
Abstract (english)
Circuit breakers are elements of electrical switchyard. Their main use is to open and close normal operating currents, and also serve as protection against short-circuit current. Their characteristic is short term conduction and switching short- circuit current. It's important that breakers are working properly in all conditions, especially during short circuits. When circuit breakers are switching on and off, appears electrical arc between contacts of the breaker. Circuit breakers are devided by the medium which is in the breaker to extinguish the electric arc. The most common types of medium are: oil, air, SF6 gas, vacuum.
