Abstract
U ovom je radu prikazana važnost ranog usvajanja vokabulara stranoga jezika upotrebom igara koje povećavaju motivaciju za učenjem vokabulara. Za potrebe završnoga rada, izrađena je mobilna aplikacija po uzoru na Memory igru. Klasična igra Memory najčešće se igra u dvoje, ali ima mogućnost samostalnog i grupnog igranja. Igra sadrži kartice sa slikama, a svaka kartica ima svoj identičan par. Cilj je skupiti što više parova. Aplikacija predstavljena u ovom radu koristi princip igre Memory, ali umjesto spajanja dviju slika, u aplikaciji Memory boost spajat će se slika i riječ. Kreirana igra ima tri razine: easy, medium i hard. Razina easy sadržava kategoriju životinja, koje su lako pamtljive i izgovorljive. Razina medium predstavlja kategoriju voća čije su riječi u pravilu duže nego riječi u kategoriji easy. Riječi hard kategorije, koju čine prijevozna sredstva, najduže su i najrjeđe korištene. Za razvoj aplikacije koristio se program Android Studio, a kod je pisan korištenjem jezika Java.
Abstract (english)
This paper elaborates on the importance of early acquisition of foreign language vocabulary using games that increase the motivation to learn vocabulary. For the purpose of the final paper, a mobile application based on the Memory game was designed. A typical Memory game is played in pairs but there is an option to play it independently and in groups. The game contains picture cards with each card having its own identical pair. The goal is to gather as many pairs as possible. The application presented in this paper uses the principle of the Memory game, but instead of connecting two images, in the Memory boost application, images and words are connected. The designed game has three difficulty levels: easy, medium and hard. The easy level consists of the category of animals, which are easy to remember and pronounce. The medium level contains the fruit category whose words are generally longer than words in the easy category. The words of the hard category, the category of transportation, are the longest and most difficult to memorize. For the application development, we used Android Studio. The code was written using the Java language.
