Abstract
RAID - Redundant Array of Independent Disk (redundantno polje neovisnog diska). Tehnologija koja nam omogućava spremanje podataka na nekoliko diskova istovremeno, razlog je sigurnost podataka, te za povećanje brzine protoka podataka. Postoji nekoliko razina, tj. izvedbi ovakvog načina spajanja diskova. Koncept RAID-a prvi puta su definirali David A. Patterson, Garth A. Gibson i Randy Katz na Kalifornijskom sveučilištu Berkeley 1987. godine. Ova se tehnologija danas koristi u svim većim data centrima
