Abstract
Linearna algebra je grana matematike čija vrijednost leži ponajprije u njezinoj primjenjivosti. U ovom radu opisana je primjena vektora u statici. Za razliku od skalara koji imaju samo brojčanu vrijednost, vektori imaju iznos, smjer i orijentaciju. Mehanika je temeljna i najstarija grana fizike koja se bavi zakonima ravnoteže i gibanja materijalnih tijela. Istražuje najjednostavnije prirodne pojave, a to su mirovanje i gibanje. Statika je grana mehanike koja se bavi analizom ravnoteže materijalnog tijela u mirovanju. U statici osnovna vektorska veličina je sila koja ima svoj iznos, smjer i hvatište. Linearna algebra primjenjena je u cijeloj statici, od samog rastavljanja sila, do definiranja momenta sile, ravnoteže materijalne točke, rada sile i drugih. Neizostavna je upotreba svih operacija nad vektorima i njihovih definicija jer su mnoge fizikalne veličine ujedno i vektorske. Primjena linearne algebre je mnogo šira u fizici, na svim ostalim granama osim statike.
Abstract (english)
Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics whose value is primarily in its applicability. Here is described the use of vectors in the statics. The difference between scalars and vectors is that scalars only have a numeric value, and the vectors have the amount, direction and orientation. Mechanics is a fundamental and the oldest branch of physics that deals with the laws of equilibrium and motion of material bodies. It examines the simplest natural phenomena, such as stillness and motion. Statics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the balance of the material body at stillness. In the statics the basic vector quantity is a force that has its amount, direction and grip. Linear algebra is applied throughout the statics of the disassembly force, to define the torque range, the balance of the particle labor force and others. It's unavoidable use of all vectors operations and their definitions for many of the physical quantities, at the same time vector quantities. Use of Linear algebra is much broader in physics and in all other fields,not just statics.
