Abstract
Ovaj završni rad istražuje princip rada vjetroelektrana s horizontalnom osi, njihove dijelove te proces pretvorbe energije vjetra u električnu energiju. Kroz povijesni pregled i analizu različitih tipova vjetroagregata ( s horizontalnom i vertikalnom osi), obrađuju se prednosti i nedostaci svakog sustava. Rad se također fokusira i na izradu fizičkog modela vjetroagregata s horizontalnom osi, koji uključuje izradu zračnog tunela, izradu mjernog instrumenta, dizajn i izradu rotora, te postavljanje eksperimenta za mjerenje izlaznih podataka. Izlazna mjerenja i izračuni pokazali su trend smanjenja postotnog rasta snage s povećanjem broja lopatica, što je u skladu s očekivanjima. Cilj rada također je bio, na temelju analize rezultata mjerenja, zaključiti zašto su turbine s tri lopatice optimalne za komercijalnu primjenu.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explores the working principle of horizontal axis wind turbines, their components, and the process of converting wind energy into electrical energy. Through a historical review and analysis of different types of wind turbines (horizontal and vertical axis), as well as discussing pros and cons of each system. The thesis also focuses on the creation of a physical model of a horizontal-axis wind turbine, which includes the construction of a wind tunnel, the creation of a measuring instrument, the design and manufacture of the rotor, and setting up an experiment for measuring output data. The output measurements and calculations showed a trend of decreasing percentage in power growth with the increase in the number of blades, which aligns with expectations. The aim was also to determine, based on the analysis of measurement results, why three-blade turbines are optimal for commercial application
