Abstract
U završnom radu opisana je struktura, vrste i primjena pametnih materijala. Pametni materijali su materijali koji uz pomoć vanjskog utjecaja mogu mijenjati svoja svojstva. Prva slitina pametnog materijala otkrivena je 1961. godine i imala je omjer titanija i nikla 1:1. Leguru titana i nikla znanstvenici su savili mehaničkom silom, a prilikom zagrijavanja NiTiNOL legura se vratila u svoj prvobitni oblik. Neke značajnije slitine koje se koriste za izradu pametnih materijala su CuAlNi i CuZnAl. Efekt pamćenja oblika i superelastičnost su dva važna svojstva za slitine pametnih materijala. Postoje dvije skupine pametnih materijala: materijali s unutarnjom i materijali s vanjskom inteligencijom. Materijali s unutarnjom inteligencijom mogu pretvoriti jednu vrstu energije u drugu, dok materijali s vanjskom inteligencijom najčešće mijenjaju boju kao odgovor na različite vanjske podražaje. Pametne materijale danas možemo susresti svuda oko nas. U ovom radu opisana je primjena pametnih materijala u autoindustriji, elektrotehnici i robotici.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explores the structure, types, and applications of smart materials. Smart materials are a class of materials capable of altering their properties in response to external stimuli. The first smart material alloy, discovered in 1961, was a titanium-nickel alloy with a 1:1 ratio. When this NiTiNOL alloy was mechanically deformed, it returned to its original shape upon heating, demonstrating the shape memory effect. Some of the more significant alloys used for the production of smart materials are CuAlNi and CuZnAl. Shape memory and superelasticity are two critical properties of these alloys. There are two groups of smart materials: those with intrinsic intelligence and those with extrinsic intelligence. Materials with intrinsic intelligence can convert one form of energy into another, while materials with extrinsic intelligence typically change color in response to various external stimuli. Today, smart materials are widely used across various fields. Thesis describes the application of smart materials in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, and robotics.
