Introduction: Epidurolysis, or Racz's procedure is a method of pain relief, which is one of the procedures of daily surgery. It has been practiced since the 1990s, and its great advantage is that it is the least invasive method among current surgical treatments for pain. Procedure: The data required for this thesis will be collected from scientific databases by searching the literature of Scopus, PubMed, Medline, Embasa and Hrčak. The aim of this paper is to show how a minimally invasive procedure with the application of specific therapy acts on the damaged nerve and the importance and role of the nurse / technician in the perioperative, intraoperative and postoperative care of patients for the procedure. Overview: The nurse has a significant role in all 3 phases of patient treatment. In the peroperative phase, the nurse has a great task in providing valid and timely information and reducing perioperative anxiety, in the intraoperative phase, the greatest emphasis is on teamwork. Postoperative care of patients involves educating the patient and his family to maintain a state of pain reduction, or painless condition of the spine. Conclusion: A review of the literature highlighted the main tasks of the nurse in the epidurolysis procedure. Also, research has shown that providing concise and clear information contributes to the ultimate satisfaction of patients referred for one-day surgeries, such as epidurolysis. I believe that our medical settings need research on the provision of information in the perioperative and postoperative phase of treatment as well as research on how satisfied patients are with the information received and how it has affected their overall treatment experience.
