Objective: To examine the connection between Facebook addiction and Internet addiction among youth. To examine whether there is a difference between Internet and Facebook addictions according to demographic variables (age, gender, place of residence, coexistence in the household and education), whether there is a connection between Internet and Facebook addiction and length of computer/smartphone usage, and to examine what the predictors are of Facebook addiction from the researched variables. Methods: The research included participants aged 18 to 25 years. The following instruments were used: Demographic information survey, Internet addiction scale and Facebook addiction scale. Results: Internet addiction contributes to the development of Facebook addiction, and significant predictors for the development of Facebook addiction were shown through the variables of Internet addiction and gender. According to the research, Internet and Facebook addictions are significantly higher among the male participants in relation to the female participants. Internet addiction is connected to age and length of time spent on a tablet PC, smartphone, and computer, in such a way that Internet addiction is increased among the participants aged 18 to 19 years in relation to the participants aged 23 to 25 years and is positively connected with the length of time spent on a tablet PC, smartphone and computer. Significant predictors were shown through the variables of Internet addiction and gender. Conclusion: It can be concluded from the results that there is a connection between Internet and Facebook addiction, and the strongest predictors of Facebook addiction are the participants' gender and Internet addiction.
