Abstract
Cilj: Cilj istraživanja je ispitati čimbenike koji utječu na zadovoljstvo izgledom prema položaju linije gornje usne i estetike osmijeha kod studenata dentalne medicine u Osijeku. Ustroj studije: Istraživanje je ustrojeno kao presječna studija na Fakultetu za dentalnu medicinu i zdravstvo među studentima dentalne medicine od 1. do 6. godine. Ispitanici i metode: Istraživanje je uključivalo 114 ispitanika oba spola. Provedeno je online putem, anketiranjem ispitanika. Rezultati: Uzorak ispitanika u ovom istraživanju činilo je 48 muškaraca i 66 žena. Glede završene stručne spreme, ispitanici/studenti dentalne medicine imaju u velikom postotku završenu gimnaziju 79%, i to 90 ispitanika. Najveći postotak ispitanika je na 6. godini studiji (20%). Zaključak: Čimbenik koji najviše utječe na odluku o pozornosti na širinu osmijeha je spol ispitanika. Točnije, osobe ženskog spola prije zapažaju osmijeh nego osobe muškog spola. Kod prve skupine fotografija, odabran je kao najprivlačniji osmijeh onaj sa širokim bukalnim koridorima. Kod druge skupine fotografija odabran je niski osmijeh gdje je vidljivost gingive najmanja. U trećoj skupini fotografija odabrana je boja zuba A1/B1 kao najbolji izbor, pa možemo zaključiti da je ispitanicima oku najprivlačnija prirodna boja zuba. Kod prve i treće skupine fotografija, ključni čimbenik je završena stručna sprema. Stoga, završena stručna sprema je imala veliku ulogu u odabiru fotografija, što znači da stariji i iskusniji studenti drugačije percipiraju estetiku osmijeha zbog već nekih stečenih znanja i iskustva u odnosu na mlađe studente. Stečeno znanje i iskustvo presuđuje u odabiru najprivlačnijeg osmijeha.
Abstract (english)
The aim: The aim of research is to examine the factors that influence satisfaction with the appearance of the position of the upper lip line and aesthetics of the smile of dental medicine students in Osijek. Structure of the study: This research is structured as a cross-sectional study. Respondents and methods: The research included 114 respondents of both sexes, with most completing a high school education. The research involved an online survey of respondents. Results: The sample of respondents in this research consisted of 48 males and 66 females. Regarding vocational education, a large proporation of the dental medicine students have completed high school, i.e., 90 of them. The highest proportion of respondents attends 6th year of the Dental Medicine program (20%). Conclusion: The factor that draws most attention to the width of a smile is the gender of the respondent.. More precisely, women notice a smile before men. In the first group of photos, the most attractive smile is the one with pronounced wide buccal corridors. In the second group of photos, a low smile was chosen as the most attractive among the respondents, where the visibility of the gingiva is the least. In the third group of photos, the A1/B1 tooth color was chosen as the best choice, hence, we conclude that respondents found a natural tooth color as the most attractive. For the first and third group of photographs, the key factor is having completed vocational training. Therefore, completed vocational training has a crucial role in selecting the photos. This means that older and more experienced students perceive the aesthetics of a smile differently due to their already acquired knowledge and experience compared to younger students.
