Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati povezanost deformacija prsnog koša sa simptomima depresivnosti i anksioznosti u populaciji mlađih osoba. Nacrt studije: Presječno istraživanje. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 100 osoba. Istraživanje je provođeno od siječnja do kraja svibnja 2024. godine uz pomoć upitnika sadržanog od triju dijelova: dio sa općim i sociodemografskim podatcima, PHQ-9 upitnik o zdravlju pacijenata za procjenu depresivnosti i GAD-7 skala za procjenu... More anksioznosti. Rezultati: Podatci 100 ispitanika statistički su analizirani. Prosječna dob ispitanika bila je 14,6 godina. Osnovnu školu pohađao je 51 ispitanik, srednju školu 47 te su dva ispitanik pohađala fakultet. Ispitanika sa skoliozom bilo je 88 %, 10 % ispitanika imalo je deformaciju pojačane kifoze, a 2 % udubljena prsa. Prosječna razina depresivnosti svih ispitanika iznosila je 5,33 ± 4,19 što je kategorija blage depresivnosti. Prosječna razina anksioznosti iznosila je 4,26 ± 3,81 što odgovara normalnoj prema blagoj anksioznosti. Depresivnost i anksioznost u pozitivnoj su korelaciji. Značajno više ženskih ispitanika ima znakove anksioznosti i depresivnosti u odnosu na muške ispitanike. Značajna je statistička razlika između mlađih i starijih ispitanika; stariji ispitanici imaju više razine depresivnosti, dok kod anksioznosti ne postoji razlika u odnosu na dob. Ne postoji razlika u razinama anksioznosti i depresivnosti kod ispitanika s različitim dijagnozama. Nema značajne razlike u razini anksioznosti i depresivnosti s obzirom na veličinu deformacije. Zaključak: Kod mladih osoba s deformacijom prsnog koša zapažene su blage i umjerene razine anksioznosti i depresivnosti. Osobe ženskog spola imaju više razine navedenih psiholoških pojava. Također, stariji ispitanici imaju značajno više razine depresivnosti. Ne postoji razlika u razini depresivnosti i anksioznosti s obzirom na veličinu deformacije. Less
Abstract (english)
Objectives: This paper aimed to examine the association between chest deformities and symptoms of depression and anxiety in a population of young individuals. Study Design: A cross-sectional study. Participants and Methods: The study included 100 participants and was conducted from January to the end of May 2024 using a questionnaire consisting of three parts: a section with general and sociodemographic data, the PHQ-9 Patient Health Questionnaire for assessing depression,... More and the GAD-7 scale for assessing anxiety. Results: Data from 100 participants were statistically analyzed. The average age of the participants was 14.6 years. Fifty-one participants attended primary school, forty-seven attended high school, and two were in college. Among the participants, 88% had scoliosis, 10% had hyperkyphosis, and 2% had pectus excavatum. The average depression score of all participants was 5.33 ± 4.19, which falls into the mild depression category. The average anxiety score was 4.26 ± 3.81, corresponding to normal to mild anxiety levels. There was a positive correlation between depression and anxiety. A significantly higher number of female participants showed signs of anxiety and depression compared to male participants. There was a significant statistical difference between younger and older participants; older participants had higher levels of depression, while there was no age-related difference in anxiety levels. There was no difference in anxiety and depression levels among participants with different diagnoses. There was no statistically significant difference in anxiety and depression according to the severity of deformity. Conclusion: Young individuals with chest deformities exhibited mild to moderate levels of anxiety and depression. Female participants had higher levels of these psychological conditions.
