Abstract
Ulančani blokovi postali su jak alat novog vremena i, u svom smislu, predvodnica novog načina čuvanja i administriranja sve većeg broja podataka. Tekst analizira neka od bitnih svojstava ulančanih blokova: decentralizacija, sigurnost i nepromjenjivost te načine na koji se oni u stvarnoj izvedbi spominju. Daleko najraširenija uporaba ulančanih blokova je u kriptovalutama, primjerice Bitcoin, a veza između tog dvoje je toliko jaka da se, u popularnim medijima i konverzaciji, jedno s drugim često i izjednačuje. Stoga sam mnoga svojstva ulančanih blokova promatrao upravo kroz leću kriptovaluta. Dio rada posvećen je i vlastitoj implementaciji, koja je služila kao živ primjer nekih od bitnih svojstava ulančanih blokova.
Abstract (english)
Blockchain has, in recent years, become a powerful tool and, in its own sense, a sort of a forefront of the new way of administering and storing the ever-growing amount of data. In the text, I have analyzed what are among the most important properties of blockchain: decentralization, security and data immutability, and ways those same properties are achieved in real-life implementations. Blockchain’s most accomplished use is the one in cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin e.g., as the connection between the two has almost made them a synonym for one another. That is the reason some of the features of blockchain were observed through the lens of cryptocurrency. Final section of the paper was also dedicated to my own implementation of a simple blockchain, serving as a live example of some of the properties mentioned earlier.
