The work analyzes the development and perspective of new technological solutions in the insurance of motor vehicles, and research and the setting up of the new concept DRIVE.SAFE as a model of a digital platform for insurance. The aim of the work is to show how it is necessary to accept new available technologies and to exploit the full potential that technology offers in the way of disturbance and conclusion of contracts in insurance in today's world and the use of technology by the development of the auto industry that produces and creates cars that will be safer and ultimately autonomous in participation on the road. Research of the insurance market and the present companies, it can be determine that the insurance industry in the Republic of Croatia is currently lagging behind in digital innovations and the digital approach to contracting insurance policies, and that insurance companies have yet to turn to the digital model and that there is a significant digital client segment on the market that can be inclined to take out insurance policies through a digital platform, which is especially accessible from contracting automobile liability policies Insurance companies should set a new alternative sales channel as a strategy in their business, develop a digitalization and digital access strategy, change their relationship with clients in terms of better positioning of their products in relation to client segmentation, implement new technologies in the company's business and connect with technological partners who can bring a large set of data that will be used for a new pricing approach and risk selection and be present in regulatory planning and determining the rules for the arrival of autonomous vehicles on the roads and managing the protection of clients' personal data, which will be used in the new product creation model. The acceptance of new technologies and new models in the way of contracting insurance policies should be started as soon as possible in order to, on the one hand, get ahead of the competition, and on the other hand, to expand the client's portfolio and realize an added insurance premium, which will generate a higher gross premium for the insurance company in the long term and ensure a long-term call business.
