Abstract
Ovaj rad istražuje koncepte i izazove obrade podataka u kontekstu IoT sustava. IoT sustavi omogućavaju povezivanje i komunikaciju između fizičkih uređaja i interneta te pružaju brojne prednosti u različitim industrijama. S obzirom na veliku količinu podataka koje generiraju IoT uređaji, ključno je razumjeti kako efikasno obraditi te podatke. U radu se analizira važnost obrade podataka na rubu (engl. Edge Computing) kao tehnologije koja omogućava obradu podataka na samim uređajima ili blizu njih, smanjujući latenciju i troškove povezivanja s oblakom. Rad opisuje arhitekturu te alate i tehnologije potrebne za izvedbu jednog takvog sustava. Na kraju, zaključuje se da kombinacija obrade podataka na rubu i podatkovnog oblaka pruža snažan temelj za učinkovitu obradu i upotrebu podataka generiranih u IoT okruženjima.
Abstract (english)
This paper explores the concepts and challenges of data processing in the context of IoT systems. IoT systems enable the connection and communication between physical devices and the internet, offering numerous advantages across various industries. Given the significant volume of data generated by IoT devices, it is essential to understand how to effectively process this data. The paper analyzes the significance of Edge computing technology that enables data processing near the devices, reducing latency and ensuring fast response to anomalies. The paper describes the architecture, tools, and technologies necessary for implementing such a system. In conclusion, it highlights that the combination of Edge computing and cloud computing provides a robust foundation for efficient processing and utilization of data generated in IoT environments.
