Abstract
Ovaj rad opisuje kako dizajnirati fizikalno sučelje za 1000Base-T1. Fokus je na elektromagnetskim simulacijama s realnim komponentama i koralaciji rezulatata dobivenih simulacijom i mjerenjem. Uvod predstavlja osnove 1000Base-T1 komunikacijskog protokola, glavne karaktetistike i usporedbu s alternativama za primjenu u automobilskoj industriji. U razradi se analiziraju dijelovi spomenutog fizikalnog sučelja prema zahtjevima koje su definirali Open Alliance i IEEE. Prigušnica zajedničkog signala i zaštita od elektrostatskog izboja su karakterizirane mjerenjima na posebno dizajniranim i simuliranim strukturama definiranim u spomenutim industrijskim standardima. Nakon toga je u cijelosti analizirano medijski neovisno sučelje koje spaja transiver s ostatkom komunikacijske mreže, na kraju su dane sugestije kako ga optimizirati.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes how to design a 1000Base-T1 physical layer primarily focusing on electromagnetic simulations with real components and correlation of simulation and measured results. Basics of a 1000Base-T1 communication protocol, motivation for using the exact protocol and alternatives for it in the automotive industry are presented in the introduction. Later in the elaboration, Open Alliance and IEEE requirements are described for each part of the physical channel. Common mode choke and ESD protection are measured on specially designed and simulated test structures defined by mentioned industry standards. After ensuring that common mode choke and ESD protection satisfy requirements, the medium-dependent interface is analyzed, suggestions on how to further optimize it are given at the end.
