Abstract
U okviru ovog rada prikazana je usporedba popularnih komunikacijskih protokola koji se koriste u Internetu stvari. Objašnjene su razlike između dva tipa Iot platformi, potpuno lokalnih i potpuno temeljenih u oblaku. Detaljno je opisana popularna platforma Home Assistant te prikazani primjer kako je moguće smanjiti potrošnju električne energije korištenjem automatizacija. Izrađena je mobilna aplikacija za kontrolu pametnog doma koja se spaja na Home Assistant. Prikazana je teorijska podloga novog standarda Matter kojem je cilj riješiti problem interoperabilnosti pametnih uređaja. Testiranje Mattera provedeno je koristeći platforme i usmjerivače tvrtke Apple i Google te pametnih uređaja tvrtke Eve. Rezultati su pokazali da je interoperabilnost moguća, ali uz povećanu latenciju i smanjeni broj mogućnosti uređaja na platformi koja nije nativna za pametni uređaj.
Abstract (english)
This paper compares common communication protocols used in the Internet of Things. The differences between the two types of IoT platforms, fully local and fully cloud-based, are explained. The popular Home Assistant platform is described in detail, and an example of how automation can reduce power consumption is presented. A mobile application for smart home control has been developed that connects to Home Assistant. The theoretical background of the new Matter standard, whose goal is to solve the problem of interoperability of smart devices, is presented. Testing of Matter was carried out using platforms and routers from Apple and Google and smart devices from Eve. The results showed that interoperability is possible, but with increased latency and a reduced number of device capabilities on a platform that is not native to a smart device.
