Abstract
U radu su predstavljeni ključni pokazatelji performansi i načini na koji su oni povezani s identificiranjem uskih grla kod Tomcat web poslužitelja i procjenom utjecaja na iskustvo krajnjeg korisnika. Navedeni su alati ugrađeni u Tomcat web poslužitelj kao i alati za praćenje trećih strana koji su dostupni. Ukratko su opisane tehnike za prikupljanje, analizu i vizualizaciju podataka o radu poslužitelja. U sklopu praktičnog dijela rada razvijeno je testno okruženje, osmišljeni su planovi za generiranje prometa, obavljeno je mjerenje, a rezultati su prikazani. Rezultati i zaključci do kojih se došlo omogućavaju bolje razumijevanje rada i dinamike Tomcat web poslužitelja pod različitim vrstama opterećenja.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents key performance indicators and their relationship to identifying bottlenecks in Tomcat web servers and assessing their impact on end-user experience. The built-in tools in Tomcat web servers, as well as third-party monitoring tools, are discussed. Techniques for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing server performance data are briefly described. In the practical part of the study, a testing environment was developed, traffic generation plans were devised, measurements were conducted, and the results were presented. The findings and conclusions provide a better understanding of the operation and dynamics of Tomcat web servers under various load conditions.
