Abstract
U okviru ovoga završnog rada proučena su binarna stabla valića, strukture podataka koje omogućuju sažimanje podataka. Programska podrška izvedena je u programskom jeziku C# te testirana na genomima i proteinima. Analizirani su memorijski zahtjevi i vrijeme izvođenja osnovnih operacija (rang, odabir, dohvat) u ovisnosti o veličini ulaznog skupa i veličini abecede.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis I have analyzed binary wavelet trees, the data structures which enable data compression. The program is written in C# and tested on genomes and proteins. I analyzed the memory requirements of basic operations (rank, select, member) in relation too the size of the input array and alphabet size.
