Abstract
Ovaj rad opisuje način funkcioniranja proširene stvarnosti, te njene implementacije u različitim hardverskim i softverskim oblicima i primjene u industrijama. U fokus se stavljaju VIO sustavi (engl. visual inertial odometry) na kojima se danas baziraju najkorišteniji oblici proširene stvarnosti na mobilnim platformama iOS i Android, te se objašnjava njihovo funkcioniranje i kalibracija. Napravljena je usporedba sa sustavima za 3D rekonstrukciju objekata sa dubinskim senzorima na primjeru Microsoft Kinecta, te je opisan najpopularniji algoritam za rekonstrukciju iz više pogleda na objekt, sa nepoznatim parametrima translacije i rotacije skenera. Opisan je Appleov razvojni okvir za proširenu stvarnost ARKit, te je pomoću njega razvijena demonstrativna aplikacija koja omogućava mjerenje duljine i površine objekata ili prostora umjerene kompleksnosti.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the principles of augmented reality applications and multiple hardware and software implementation and their applications in different industries. The paper focuses on VIO systems (visual inertial odometry) that are the basis for the most used augmented reality frameworks on the market on mobile platforms iOS and Android. Working principles and calibration techniques of VIO systems are described and compared to systems for 3D object reconstruction equipped with depth sensors. A most popular algorithm for reconstruction is described. An application that enables real world object or room length and surface measurement is implemented using ARKit framework on iOS platform.
