Abstract
Pojačalo snage klase A pojačava razinu snage signala koji mu je dovedena na ulazne priključnice. Njegova zadaća nije samo povećati snagu, već povećati tu snagu čim je moguće više, a da pritom ne dođe do izobličenja samog signala. Osnovni dio svakog pojačala je tranzistor, a u ovom radu je korišten bipolarni tranzistor s horizontalnim tokom struje (HCBT), koji je izumljen na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Najvažniji dio izrade pojačala snage je projektiranje prilagodnih mreža za maksimalni prijenos snage. Za to je korištena metoda load-pull. Projektirana su tri pojačala za rad na 0.9 GHz, 1.8 GHz i 2.4 GHz. Rezultati dobiveni mjerenjem nisu bili jednaki rezultatima simulacija. Izmjerena pojačanja bila su manja od očekivanih, no pojačalo projektirano za rad na frekvenciji 900 MHz premašilo je očekivani iznos snage predane trošilu te može predati snagu od 21.9 dBm u linearnom režimu rada.
Abstract (english)
Class A power amplifier amplifies the power of the signal connected to its input port. Its job is not only to increase the level of power, but to do it as much as it is possible, while not allowing signal distortion. Fundamental part of every amplifier is a transistor, and in this thesis a horizontal current bipolar transistor (HCBT) was used. HCBT is invented at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. The most important part of power amplifier design is designing matching networks that will secure a maximum of delivered power. Load-pull technique was used. Three amplifiers were designed for working frequencies at 0.9 GHz, 1.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz. Measurement result were not identical to the simulation results. The measured gain was lower than expected, but the amplifier with working frequency at 900 MHz surpassed the expected amount of delivered power and can deliver the linear power of 21.9 dBm
