Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se tematikom otkrivanja točkastog polimorfizma. Objašnjen je pojam točkastog polimorfizma te je napravljena kategorizacija točkastih polimorfizama. Također su opisane jedne od danas najviše korištenih baza podataka koje sadrže genetičke varijacije, pa tako ujedno i točkaste polimorfizme. Ukratko su navedene i opisane metode za otkrivanje točkastih polimorfizama u biološkom smislu, a opisano je nekoliko računalnih programa koji otkrivaju točkaste polimorfizme unutar genoma i/ili predviđaju efekte pronađenih točkastih polimorfizama. U sklopu rada razvijen je i računalni program SNPector koji otkriva točkaste polimorfizme unutar genoma te je detaljnije opisana njegova implementacija u kojoj su korištene metode strojnog učenja te je prikazan način korištenja programa.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor thesis is about single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) detection. It contains a detailed description of the single nucleotide polymorphism and categorization of SNPs. Also, popular databases with genetic variations, including SNPs, are described. Methods for SNP detection in biological manner are briefly listed and described and the computer programs for SNP detection in genomes and/or SNP effect prediction are described. The computer program SNPector is developed within this bachelor thesis. SNPector is a program for SNP detection in genomes and the description of its implementation that uses machine learning methods is given along with its usage description.
