Abstract
This work analyses usage of localization methods for radio devices in wireless communication networks in indoor environments. A new propagation method 'connected cubes' is described and its applications in propagation calculation are discussed. Also described is a new mapping method for wireless sensor and cognitive networks using various propagation models. An overview on existing localization methods and their accuracy is given. Developed simulator for cognitive networks and its advantages over existing simulators are described. Also considered are the applications of mapping and localization methods in wireless communication network optimization.
Abstract (croatian)
U radu se analizira uporaba metoda lokalizacije radijskih uređaja u bežičnim komunikacijskim mrežama u unutarnjem okruženju. Opisana je nova metoda propagacije „spojenih kvadara‟ i mogućnost njene primjene u proračunu propagacije. Opisana je i nova metoda mapiranja unutarnjeg okruženja za bežične senzorske i spoznajne mreže korištenjem različitih modela propagacije. Dan je pregled metoda lokalizacije i njihovih točnosti. Opisan je razvijeni simulator spoznajne radijske mreže i njegove prednosti u odnosu na postojeće simulatore. Razmotrene su primjena mapiranja i lokalizacije na optimizaciju bežičnih komunikacijskih mreža.
