The dissertation presents a developed model of the energy independent building, using the application of a new energy sustainable technology, in compliance with the protection of environment, and the sustainable development criteria. The concept shows that it is possible to meet the building energy demands, for a whole year, by using solar energy utilization, with a minimal emission of pollution into the environment. The model is connected using synergic ally. It includes the solar energy passive utilization, solar heating and domestic hot water system, the direct and alternating current, the storing of energy of the hydrogen, fuel cells, solar cooling, seawater desalinization, rain-water collecting, wind generator as well as the systems for conducting and managing the subsystems. All these subsystems, known as, the single models, are presented by equations describing some single components’ flow and energy changes and are connected into the functioning and energetically independent building. A simulation model is presented showing the conceptional solution of the assumed configuration for an energetically independent building, together with the simulation flow chart. The model of an optimal energy management is described emitting the linear programming method, which gives certain energy quantities from every source, with minimal costs, and at the same time, meeting the building needs in regard to the energy. A multidisciplinary approach has been used, taking the energy-economic and energy-ecological criteria into consideration. At the end, the simulation’ results analysis are presented together, with the monthly share values, which include the prices of some single energy sources.
