Abstract
Prirodni plin je trenutno treći po redu energent u pogledu ukupne svjetske potrošnje i nameće se kao jedno od rješenja ka izgradnji niskougljične i održive energetske budućnosti. U radu je opisano sadašnje stanje potrošnje, cijena i pravaca dobave prirodnog plina u EU i RH. Također, analizirani su projekti trenutno u izgradnji i njihova uloga u budućnosti. Rad sadrži i najvažnije karakteristike plinskih elektrana kao i njihovu ulogu u budućnosti elektroenergetskog sektora.
Abstract (english)
Natural gas is currently the third energy source in terms of total world consumption and its becoming one of the solutions towards building a low-carbon and sustainable energy future. The study describes the current state of consumption, prices and routes of natural gas supply in the EU and Croatia. Also,current project in construction and their role in the future are analyzed. The study contains the most important characteristics of gas power plants as well as their role in the future of the power sector.
