Abstract
U ovom radu dan je pregled platformi, numeričkih biblioteka i jezika za implementaciju numeričkih simulatora u homogenom CPU računskom okruženju s dijeljenom memorijom. Opisani su rad i svojstva rezonantne tunelske diode (RTD). Komponente kao što je RTD idealne su za realizaciju visokofrekvencijskih oscilatora. NEGF simulator strujno-naponskih karakteristika 1D RTD-a implementiran je u Matlabu i jeziku C uz korištenje biblioteka BLAS i LAPACK. BLAS je programska biblioteka koja sadrži funkcije za proračune iz područja linearne algebre. LAPACK je programska biblioteka koja sadrži funkcije za rješavanje sustava linearnih jednadžbi, problema svojstvenih vrijednosti, itd. Nakon implementacije, usporedili smo vremena izvođenja za različit broj jezgri i različite dimenzije strukture 1D RTD-a. Simulacija je do 4 puta brža korištenjem numeričkih biblioteka u C-u u odnosu na implementaciju u Matlabu.
Abstract (english)
This work gives an overview of platforms, numerical libraries and languages for implementing numerical simulators in a homogeneous CPU computing environment with shared memory. The properties of resonant tunnel diodes (RTD) are described. Components such as RTD are ideal for the realization of highfrequency oscillators. The NEGF 1D RTD simulator is implemented in Matlab and in C language using the BLAS and LAPACK numerical libraries for linear algebra. BLAS is a library that contains functions for calculations in the field of linear algebra. LAPACK is a library that contains functions for solving systems of linear equations, eigenvalue problems, etc. After implementation, we compared the execution times for different core counts and different dimensions of 1D RTD structure. Simulation is up to 4 times faster using numerical libraries in C implementation compared to Matlab version.
