Abstract
Procjenjuje se da dijabetes pogađa 387 milijuna ljudi. Dijabetička retinopatija u nekom obliku javlja se kod 35% - 40% oboljelih od dijabetesa. To je bolest koja može uzrokovati ozbiljno pogoršanje vida, pa čak i sljepoću. Liječnici, oftalmolozi, dijagnosticiraju dijabetičku retinopatiju nakon uvida u slike očne pozadine. To bolest karakteriziraju abnormalne strukture koje se pojavljuju na pozadini oka, abnormalne strukture poput: eksudata, mikroaneurizmi, krvarenja i neovaskularizacija. Ovaj rad opisuje sustav koji klasificira slike očne pozadine u jednu od 5 klasa. Slike su pretprocesirane radi poboljšanja kontrasta. Sustav se sastoji od dva dijela: nenadziranog učenja značajki pomoću algoritma k - srednjih vrijednosti i nadziranog učenja pomoću linearnog SVM-a. Sustav je testiran na skupu podataka objavljenom na Kaggleu u veljači, 2015. Sustav je postigao točnost klasifikacije od 65.8% i odziv 66%.
Abstract (english)
It is estimated that there are 387 million people who suffer from diabetes. 35% - 40% of people who suffer from diabetes have some state of diabetic retinopathy. It is a disease that causes sight degradation, even blindness. Ophtalmologists diagnose the disease after inspecting eye fundus images. Disease is characterised by appearance of abnormal structures in eye fundus such as: exudates, microaneurysms, hemorrhages and neovascularisations. In this paper a classifiaction system is developed. It predicts diabetic retinopathy level in one of five classes. System works in three steps: contrast enhancement (CLAHE), unsupervised feature learning (k - means), linear SVM for classification. Classifier is tested on dataset published by Kaggle in February, 2015. It achieved 65.8% accuracy and 66% sensitivity.
