Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu opisan je problem fotorealističnog iscrtavanja u računalnoj grafici. Opisana su dva sustava za kvantificiranje svjetlosti, radiometrija i fotometrija, te pretpostavke na kojima se temelje. Opisana je temeljna jednadžba transporta svjetlosti koju je potrebno riješiti za ostvarivanje prikaza. Objašnjen je način rješavanja navedene jednadžbe Monte Carlo metodama. Opisane su tehnike za poboljšavanje rezultata Monte Carlo metode. Objašnjeni su neki načini ubrzavanja algoritma: izračun na grafičkom procesoru pomoću programskog modela SYCL te korištenje BVH akceleracijske strukture za ubrzavanje izračuna presjeka zrake s geometrijskim objektima u sceni. Prikazani su rezultati te su izneseni komentari istih.
Abstract (english)
This master's thesis introduces the problem of photorealistic rendering in computer graphics. Two systems for quantifying light are introduced, radiometry and photometry, and the assumptions on which they are based. The fundamental light transport equation is introduced. Monte Carlo methods that are used to solve the aforementioned equation are introduced. Some techniques that improve the results of the Monte Carlo method are introduced. Some ways of accelerating the algorithm are introduced: computation on the GPU using the SYCL programming model and the usage of the BVH acceleration structure for the acceleration of ray-object intersection tests. The results of the thesis are presented and evaluated.
