Abstract
Opće je poznata činjenica da munja ima destruktivna svojstva. Njezini udari najčešće pogađaju uzvišene objekte na uzvišenim područjima. Tom opisu odgovaraju i vjetroagregati kod kojih najozbiljniju štetu prave udari munja u lopatice. Oštećenja lopatica dijele se u nekoliko kategorija ovisno o količini štete koja je načinjena. Različitim eksperimentima i promatranjima pokušavaju se naći kvalitetna rješenja za zaštitu lopatica od udara munje. U svakom slučaju, lopatice s hvataljkama pokazuju poboljšanje, ali i na njima se događaju različita oštećenja poput taljenja hvataljki. Uz glavni cilj smanjenja kvarova na vjetroagregatu, pri osmišljanju mjera zaštite treba uzeti u obzir i cijenu njihovog izvođenja. Stoga nije uvijek rješenje potpuno izbjegavanje oštećenja, nego svođenje štete na što manje količine, prikladno održavanje i pravovremeno pregledavanje vjetroagregata.
Abstract (english)
It is a well known fact that lightning can be very destructive. Lightning often strikes high structures located in a high area. Exactly that is description of wind turbines, which one of the most serious cause of damage is lightning attachment to blades. The damages to wind turbine blades can be classified into several categories based on damage level. Many experiments and observations have been done in order to establish quality protection methods for blades. However, blades with receptors have shown some improvement, but there can also occur some damage such as receptor melting. With the main objective of minimizing wind turbine outages, it is also necessary to consider cost performance of protection measures. So, it is not always right decision to avoid damage, but to reduce damage with properly maintenance and prompt inspection of wind turbines.
