Abstract
U radu je opisan postupak dizajna i simulacije lijevak antene predviđene za rad u frekvencijskom području od 3.3 GHz do 4.2 GHz. Nakon konstrukcije i simulacije računalnog modela izrađena je lijevak antena koristeći niski budžet i lako dostupne materijale (aluminijska folija, Pringles limenka, ljepljva aluminijska traka, karton). Komponente antene (cilindrični valovod, konusi, lijevak, pregrada) su složene u cjelinu i učvršćene. Izrađena antena je bila testirana VNA uređajem, na kojemu je prvo bila obavljena kalibracija kako bi se dobili precizni rezultati mjerenja. Za mjerenje impulsnog odziva je korištena komercijalna širokopojasna antena. Zbog nesavršenosti u izradi i u mjerenju izrađena lijevak antena je bila samo aproksimacija računalnog modela, no vrijednosti izmjerenih osnovnih parametara antene (VSWR, impulsni odziv, impedancija, polarizacija) su pokazale da je izrađena antena dobrih karakteristika za traženo frekvencijsko područje iako sadržava mnoge nesavršenosti koje proizlaze iz korištenih materijala i problema pri izradi, pa nije na razini antene koja je bila modelirana u FEKO-u.
Abstract (english)
The paper describes the procedure of design and simulation of conical horn antenna intended for operation in the frequency range from 3.3 GHz to 4.2 GHz. After construction and simulation of computer model conical horn antenna was made using low budget and easily accessible materials (aluminum foil, Pringles can, adhesive aluminum tape, cardboard). The antenna components (cylindrical waveguide, cones, funnel, baffle) were assembled as a whole and fixed. The antenna that was made was tested with a VNA device, on which calibration was first performed to obtain accurate measurement results. A commercial broadband antenna was used to measure the impulse response. Due to imperfections in the construction and measurement, the fabricated conical horn antenna was only an approximation of the computer model, but the values of the measured basic parameters of the antenna (VSWR, impulse response, impedance, polarization) have shown that the constructed antenna has good characteristics for the required frequency range, although it contains many imperfections arising from the materials used and manufacturing problems, so it is not at the level of the antenna that was modeled in FEKO.
