Abstract
In the thesis, we provide a detailed overview of the basic principles and characteristics of modern cryptographic systems. The early development of modern cryptography is described, including the most important encryption standards (DES, 3DES, AES, RSA). Based on the findings from the introductory phase of the work, appropriate cryptographic mechanisms were selected for protection of group communication. In the first phase, the owner of the group chooses a group password. Using the RSA algorithm, the group password is sent to other members of the group. A shared group key is derived from the group password using the PBKDF algorithm. Ultimately, the AES algorithm is used to protect the communication itself.
Abstract (croatian)
U radu dajemo detaljan osvrt na osnovne principe i karakteristike modernih kriptografskih sustava. Opisan je rani razvoj moderne kriptografije, uključujući i najvažnije standarde za šifriranje (DES, 3DES, AES, RSA). Na osnovu saznanja iz uvodne faze rada, odabrani su odgovarajući kriptografski mehanizmi, za implementaciju zaštite grupne komunikacije. U prvoj fazi, inicijator grupe bira grupnu zaporku. Korištenjem RSA algoritma, drugim članovima grupe se prosljeđuje grupna zaporka. Iz grupne zaporke se izvodi zajednički grupni ključ primjenom PBKDF algoritma. U konačnici, koristi se AES algoritam za zaštitu same komunikacije.
