Abstract	Cilj ovoga istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos kvalitete života, socijalne podrške i depresivnosti u rodilja unutar nekoliko dana nakon poroda, te provjeriti mogućnost predviđanja postporođajne depresivnosti na temelju socijalne podrške, domena kvalitete života i nekih sociodemografskih i zdravstvenih varijabli. U istraživanju su sudjelovale rodilje (N = 101) smještene na Odjelu za ženske bolesti i porodništvo Opće županijske bolnice Vinkovci. Korišteni instrumenti su WHOQOL-BREF za mjerenje kvalitete života, Ljestvica socijalne podrške (LJSP) za mjerenje percipirane socijalne podrške, Edinburška skala postnatalne depresivnosti (EPDS) za mjerenje prisutnosti simptoma depresije te Upitnik sociodemografskih i zdravstvenih varijabli. Rezultati ukazuju da postoji statistički značajna povezanost između socijalne podrške i svih domena kvalitete života, osim domene fizičko zdravlje. Povezanost između depresivnosti i ukupne kvalitete života te depresivnosti i domene socijalne veze nije utvrđena, dok je depresivnost statistički značajno negativno povezana s domenama fizičko i psihičko zdravlje te s domenom okolina. Utvrđena je značajna, negativna povezanost između socijalne podrške i depresivnosti. Sociodemografske i zdravstvene varijable, te percipirana socijalna podrška ne doprinose značajno objašnjenju depresivnosti, dok se jedinim značajnim prediktorom pokazala domena psihičko zdravlje.
Abstract (english)	The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between quality of life, social support and depression in postpartum woman within a few days after childbirth, and to check if there is a possiblity of predicting postpartum depression based on social supprot, quality of life domains, and some socio-demographic and health variables. Sample consisted of 101 post partum woman (N=101) located in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology General Count Hospital Vinkovci. The folowing instruments were used: WHOQOL-BREF to measure quality of life, Social support scale to assess perceived social support, Edinburgh postnatal depression scale (EPDS) to identify the presence of depressive symptoms and sociodemographic and health related variables questionnaire. The results indicate that there is a statistically significant relationship between social supprot and all of quality of life domains, except for physical health. The association between depression and overall quality of life and between depression and social relationships domain has not been established, while the depression is significantly negatively associated with the domains of physical and psychological health and the environment domain. The relationship between social support and depression is significant and negative. Socio-demographic and health variables, as well as perceived social support do not contribute significantly to the explanation of depression, while the only significant predictor was found to be mental health domain.
