Abstract
Ovaj rad istražuje minimalni stručni vokabular njemačkoga jezika za područje strojarske i elektrotehničke struke. Očekuje se da učenjem njemačkog jezika na fakultetu, studenti usvajaju neophodan minimalni vokabular iz područja strojarstva kako bi mogli pratiti najnovija znanstvena dostignuća i razmjenjivati stručna iskustva s kolegama u struci s njemačkog govornog područja. Rad se temelji na postavci kako studenti strojarstva ne vladaju dovoljno stručnim vokabularom zbog čega je fokus rada na utvrđivanju minimalnog vokabulara primjenom znanstvenih i statističkih metoda kako bi se stvorila osnova za izradu kvalitetnijih rječnika stručnoga vokabulara i osmišljavanje nastavnih materijala. U ovom je radu analiziran korpus strojarstva Maschinenbau od 57.004 pojavnice (od čega je 9.876 različnica), a sastavljen je od 237 uzoraka pisanoga teksta veličine 250 riječi te obuhvaća sva glavna područja strojarstva i potječe iz 2014. godine. Za izradu i obradu korpusa korišteni su računalni alati AntFileConverter (Anthony, 2017), AntConc (Anthony, 2018) i Sketch Engine. Od 9.876 različnica korpusa, prva 134 ranga, tj. 4.303 različnice frekvencije 2 i veće od 2 (odnosno 43,57% svih različnica) pokrivaju 90,22% teksta, a zadnji 135. rang, tj. 5.573 različnice frekvencije 1 (odnosno 56,43% svih različnica) pokrivaju 9,78% teksta. Analizom frekvencijske liste i usporedbom dobivenih podataka sa frekvencijskim listama općeg njemačkog jezika (FDG) (prema Jones i Tschirner, 2006), utvrđeno je da obrađeni korpus strojarstva (Maschinenbau) ima opća frekvencijsko-leksička svojstva prirodnoga jezika i specifična obilježja jezika struke. Minimalni vokabular od 2.738 riječi i pokrivenosti teksta od 84,73%, lematizacijom je dao popis od 1.655 osnovnih riječi LMV. Nakon utvrđivanja minimalnog stručnog vokabulara provedeno je testiranje na studentima i potvrđena je hipoteza kako studenti ne vladaju osnovnim vokabularom u dovoljnoj mjeri, što je ukazalo kako je bilo neophodno utvrditi minimalni vokabular kao osnovu za izradu adekvatnijih nastavnih materijala i rječnika. Dobiveni rezultati ovoga istraživanja imaju mogući znanstveni doprinos jer mogu poslužiti kao referentna baza podataka za stručnjake koji se bave tim područjem i za buduća lingvistička istraživanja u jeziku struke.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deals with German as LSP in the field of Mechanical Engineering with a special emphasis on minimum vocabulary. It is expected that by studying German at the university, students of mechanical engineering will acquire the necessary minimum vocabulary in the field of mechanical engineering in order to keep up with the latest scientific achievements, and exchange expertise with their colleagues. In this thesis, a corpus of computer-processed written text is analyzed for the purpose of selecting the minimum vocabulary of German in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The Maschinenbau corpus of 57.004 tokens (i.e. 9.876 types) is composed of 237 samples of written text (approximately 250 words per each sample), covering all major areas of mechanical engineering. The computer tools AntFileConverter (Anthony, 2017), AntConc (Anthony, 2018) and Sketch Engine were used to process the corpus. Out of 9.876 types, the first 134 ranks, i.e. 4.303 types with frequency 2 and higher than 2 (i.e. 43.57% of all types) cover 90.22% of text, and the last 135th rank, i.e. 5.573 types with frequency 1 (i.e. 56.43% of all types) cover 9.78% of text. The analysis of the frequency list and comparison of the obtained data with the frequency lists of the General German Language (FDG) (according to Jones and Tschirner, 2006), determined that the processed corpus of mechanical engineering (Maschinenbau) has general frequency-lexical properties of natural language and specific features of LSP. The minimum vocabulary (LMV) of 1.655 basic words was formed. The obtained research results suggest that in the teaching of German as LSP, greater emphasis should be placed on the vocabulary belonging to LMV. This research is valuable for further investigations in the field of LSP, especially for developing modern teaching materials and dictionaries.
