Abstract
U ovom završnom radu analizira se životni vijek jednog plastičnog proizvoda. Opisuju se polimeri, tj. sirovina koja čini plastiku, njihova struktura, glavne karakteristike te najznačajnije vrste plastike u svakodnevnoj uporabi. Opisuju se četiri najpoznatija proizvodna procesa, zbrinjavanje gotovih proizvoda i u konačnici, utjecaj na okoliš. Sve se prikazuje na primjeru plastične boce kroz njezin cijeli životni ciklus, od samog dobivanja materijala pa sve do zbrinjavanja iskorištenog proizvoda. Podizanjem javne svijesti o važnosti zdravog okoliša i mogućnostima recikliranja plastike, uvelike bi smanjili izloženost zdravlja ljudi i ekosustava toksičnim tvarima te time pomogli sami sebi, a pogotovo narednim generacijama.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor's thesis analyses the lifecycle of a plastic product. Description is made of polymers – chemical compunds from which plastics are made, their structure, main characteristics as well as the most frequently used types of plastics in everyday life. Analysis is also made of the four best known production processes, finished products disposal and environmental effects. All is presented on an example of a plastic bottle throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw materials provision to disposal of used product. By raising public awareness of the importance of healthy environment and plastic recycling options the exposure of human health and ecosystems to toxic substances would be greatly reduced, thereby we would help ourselves, especially future generations.
