Abstract
Posljedice globalizacijskih procesa vidljive su i na području jezika. Internacionalizacija, ili možda preciznije angloamerikanizacija, zahvatila je sve jezike modernoga svijeta. Hrvatski jezik nije iznimka. U ovom se radu nastojao istražiti utjecaj engleskog jezika na hrvatski u novinarko-publicističkom stilu s naglaskom na sintaktičkoj razini. Prije svega, radom se donosi kratak pregled jezičnog posuđivanja, pojmovi vezani uz jezično posuđivanje, prilagodbe kroz koje riječi prolaze ulazeći u naš jezični sustav te analiza korpusa. Korpus sačinjavaju najčitanije hrvatske dnevne novine među kojima su Slobodna Dalmacija, Jutarnji list, Večernji list te 24sata. Istraživanje je bazirano na raznovrsnosti novinskih primjeraka jer se anglizmi i njihovi oblici najbrže uočavaju kroz različite sfere koje upravo novine i nude. Novinarski stil počeo je dovoditi u opasnost standard kao cjelinu, stoga bi novinari jednako kao i primatelji informacija trebali započeti intenzivan razvoj kritičke svijesti prema ovom problemu kako ne bi narušili identitet samog jezika.
Abstract (english)
The consequences of globalization processes are visible in the area of language. Internationalization, or more precisely Anglo-Americanization, has affected all modern languages in the world and the Croatian language is no exception. This thesis attempts to explore the influence that the English language has on Croatian journalistic style of writting, putting accent on the syntactic level. First of all, it gives us a brief overview of linguistic borrowing, terms related to linguistics borrowing, adaptation through which words pass getting into our language system and analysis of corpus. This thesis consistsof research on the most read Croatian newspapers including Slobodna Dalmacija, Jutarnji list, Večernji list and 24sata. The thesis is based on variety of newspapers because the anglicisms and their forms are the fastest observed through the different spheres offered exactly by newspapers. Journalistic style began to bring the standard language in risk, therefore, journalists as well as recipients of information should start intensive development of critical consciousness to this problem in order to not damage the identity of the language
