Abstract
Turbofolk je plesna glazba, koja prema mnogim svojim glazbenim karakteristikama sliči suvremenoj europskoj i svjetskoj popularnoj glazbi, a koja je pak inkorporirala sastavnice hip-hop, dance i techno-glazbe. Ova vrsta glazbe nastala je na tlu Srbije i BiH 1960-ih, odakle se širila prostorom čitave Jugoslavije. u Hrvatskoj se slušala i tijekom Domovinskog rata, a preplavila ju je nakon njegova završetka. U današnje vrijeme turbofolk glazba također je preplavila splitske kafiće i discoklubove, odnosno ona mjesta gdje mladi najčešće provode svoje slobodno vrijeme. Istraživanje je provedeno primjenom anketnog upitnika kojim su se tijekom srpnja 2017. prikupljali podatci o stavovima i mišljenima mladih o turbofolk glazbi, njezinim konzumentima, razlozima slušanja i zanemarenosti ostalih glazbenih žanrova u splitskim kafićima i klubovima. Analiza podataka pokazuje da više od polovice anketiranih mladih Splićana i Splićanki sluša turbofolk i da uglavnom slušaju kada su u društvu, bilo u discoklubovima ili u kafićima. Često posjećuju mjesta na kojima se sluša turbofolk, a kao razloge slušanja ove vrste glazbe navode zabavu i prijatelje. Također smatraju da su u splitskim discoklubovima i kafićima zanemareni drugi glazbeni žanrovi.
Abstract (english)
Turbofolk is a dance music, which regarding to many of its characteristics resembles contemporary European and world famous popular music, which has incorporated hip-hop, dance and techno music components. This type of music was created in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1960s, from where it expanded the entire territory of Yugoslavia. In Croatia, it was also listened during the Homeland war and became more populara fter its end. Nowadays turbofolk music has became popular in Split's coffee bars and discoteques, places where young people spend most of their free time. Research was conducted by using survey questionnaire by which we collected data about attitudes and opinions of young people about turbofolk music, it consumers, the reasons for listening and neglecting other music genres in Split's coffee bars and discoteques. Data analysis shows that more than half of the youth in Split who participated in this research listen to turbofolk, and that they mostly listen to it when they are in company, whether with friends, in discoteques or in coffee bars. They often visit the places where turbofolk is present, and as the reasons for listening to this type of music, they cite fun and friends. They also consider that other music genres are neglected inSplit's coffee bars and discoteques.
