Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad daje uvid u ikonografiju odabranih umjetničkih djela Vaska Lipovca i problematiku njihove zaštite i očuvanja. Okosnicu rada čine djela religijskog sadržaja budući da je upravo kroz njih zanimljivo „čitati“ je li i u kolikoj mjeri Lipovac slijedio tradicionalne ikonografske obrasce, odnosno, je li od njih odstupao. Lipovac je, osim mediteranskim prizorima, hrvatsku umjetničku scenu obogatio i radovima potaknutim religijom, a s obzirom na to da je tema njegovih religijskih radova manje poznata i istražena u literaturi, ona je predstavljala izazovnu polazišnu točku za istraživanje u sklopu ovog diplomskog rada. Podjednaku je pozornost u ovom radu zaslužilo i pitanje problematike očuvanja Lipovčevih djela religiozne tematike koja su ovdje promotrena kroz prizmu teorijskog diskursa očuvanja djela suvremene umjetnosti u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
This thesis gives an insight into the iconography of selected works of Vasko Lipovac and the issues of their protection and preservation. The core of the thesis consists of works of religious content, because it is interesting to “read” exactly through them whether and to what extent Lipovac followed traditional iconographic patterns, or rather, whether he deviated from them. In addition to Mediterranean scenes, Lipovac enriched the Croatian art scene with works inspired by religion. Given that the topic of his religious works is lesser-known and explored in the literature, it represented a challenging starting point for research as part of this thesis. Equally noteworthy in this thesis is the issue of the preservation of Lipovac's works on religious topics, which have been observed here through the prism of theoretical discourse on the preservation of contemporary art in Croatia.
